I did an experiment with Prezi this morning as a way of working towards the picture of my personal learning environment, although I fear it is going to be a bit of a distortion to describe this just in terms of software.

I came to the conclusion that the key stages pedagogically are actually the two transitions: from “feel” to “do” by way of planning, and from “do” to “think” by the joint actions of writing and sharing…I know quite a lot of the time I haven’t fully defined the distinction between writing I do for myself and writing that I hope will be understandable to an audience. The activity of blogging lies somewhere on that boundary…
Vygotsky paid special attention in observations and philosophically to the question of how things in the world can get to be internal symbols for the child via speech. The operations we carry out as students to produce something which will be understood by our colleagues are a sort of rehearsal of the same pathways we need to comprehend new ideas ourselves.
